Why Romanian Honey ?

 

Romania is one of the European Union's most important honey producers , placed on third place after France and Spanish production-- so much so that the country's industry can't keep up with demand. More than 50% of its honey is exported. In Romania, the beekeeping was favored by a mild climate and a generous nature, a true apicultural paradise that flowers from May to October: beefriendly plants varied, linden and acacia vast forests, many areas of fruit trees, oilseed rape and sunflower.

Romanian Beekeeping

 

Romania has a long tradition in beekeeping, having today around 40.000 beekeepers with 1.920. 000 bee-colonies, and producing around 22.000 tones/ year.

 

Romania's melifere base consists of 5 million hectars,among these 3 millions hectars can be capitalized by bees in production and harvesting.

Honey benefits

 

Honey is rich in nutrients and antioxidants, has antibacterial properties, and can play a role in diabetes management as part of a balanced diet. But that's not all.
